Subterranean is an 8 track, fully instrumental project. The main idea is heavily downtuned, sludgy guitars with melodic and complementary bass leads. It effectively transitions between semi-dissonant chaos and mellow, soothing passages as well as containing experimental, exploratory sections. Thematically it explores the depths of a person's psyche and soul, as well as the volatility of natural forces.

Style: symphonic hard rock
RIYL: Nine Inch Nails, Lacuna Coil, Porcupine Tree, Rammstein

for rest consists of 6 tracks, and is all instrumental. The project features a rock/metal base, with piano, keyboard and synth in some tracks as well. The opening track "natural mother" is a laid back track that waits till the last minute to get rowdy. "fall" features more of a focus on distorted guitars, but with a good complimenting of synth and piano and is a nod to bands such as Rammstein's and Lacuna Coil's recent sound. "evergreen" will lull you in the verses, punch it in the chorus and have you moshing at the end. "leif's resistance" is an eerie, moody and atmospheric piece which serves as a bit of a change of sound/scenery, and sets the mood a little better for the track right after it: "in dust: tree". This track is a thick, crunchy, almost mechanical metallic performance, paying respect to bands such as Killswitch Engage and ISIS. And finally is the must have epic closer as signature on almost all Adam Emanon projects: "frail foliage". This track passes the 11 minute mark, and is an introspective retrospective on the 5 songs previous to it, a reprise, as well as a little bit of it's own personality. A gentle piece with which to take it all in, wind down, destress and exhale.

Style: melodic/heavy rock. This EP is heavily influenced by ISIS' Oceanic album from 2002.
RIYL: ISIS, The Ocean, Nine Inch Nails, Radiohead

EP opener "In the beginning" is a jazz influenced progressive rock piece with a lively bass groove running throughout. Spring starts out melodic before turning up the heavy. The Pegasus Faultline is the sound of a long dormant beast awaking from it's long slumber deep in the ocean, and The Omicron Tsunami is the sound of that beast rushing up to and breaking the surface of the ocean. Without Family is a departure, another along the lines of In the beginning. It is driven by an interplay of harmonies between the guitars, bass and synth. A very subdued drum track pushes it forward. The Deep End is most appropriate of the project's concept. It is the song of duality. The verses present the calm out exterior while the choruses explode with the inner turmoil. It features a bridge section that converys introspection and sorrow. Undertow simply drives forward with tenacity (giving in to it all) leaving us with Closure, a track that has been compared to Sigur Ros.

Reviews
[on Acean] "actually pretty impressed with this. i think it sounds just enough like [ISIS's] Oceanic to be influenced by it but not a complete rip-off. after 2 listens overall i like it"
-Pete R.

[on Acean] "I'll wait for the final edits before I push a label onto it. Right now, I'd call it honest and promising"
-Ben A.

[on the both EPs collectively] "A techno-metal soundtrack for wordless contemplation"
-Stefan O.
